Good morning! Today DD and I are running her very first 5K. To commemorate our first Turkey Trot, I got us matching tutus and headbands! We will take it easy and run/walk it. I am just so proud of her for even wanting to tackle this. To say I was a couch potato as a kid would be an understatement. I ran my first 5K at age 26 and felt like I’d conquered the world. Today, my 8-year-old will complete one, and she will just see it as something fun to do. Pretty amazing.
Today I’m thankful for my health, for my husband and kids, for my awesome extended family, for the roof over my head and plentiful food on tonight’s table. I’m thankful for my friends (including my computer friends!) and for my children’s laughter. I’m thankful for this day, and each one that follows.
What are you thankful for? No need to keep it gushy, mind you. If you need to vent, vent away!
