A couple of obituaries caught my eye. Gen Xers, do you remember Beverly Hills 90210? I am not talking about the lame episodes when the Walsh siblings and all left for college. But, when it was good and all I wanted to be was Andrea Zuckerman in my own high school paper in the early ’90s. I was addicted to the show!
Anyways, its producer and “Donna’s father,” Aaron Spelling, died yesterday of a stroke. He was 83.
In beautiful detail, MSN recounts his rags to riches story from the son of humble Jewish immigrant parents in Dallas to a television executive worth $300 million.
Another obit that caught my eye was that of Patsy Ramsey. Do you remember that freaky case in Colorado when six-year-old beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey was strangled in her home? No one was ever indicted for the crime, which happened 10 years ago, by the way.
But it looks like her mother was punished in more ways than one. She just succumbed to ovarian cancer at 49. She is survived by her husband and their 19-year-old son, Burke.
